Craig County is located in the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. The Jefferson National Forest extends over much of the county, where visitors can hunt, fish, camp and hike. Many mineral springs are throughout the county, too.

The Craig County Historical Society is located in the Old Brick Hotel, where past boarders included lawyers and judges, hot springs visitors, and maybe even Jesse James.
