Northumberland County is located at the northeastern tip of the Northern Neck peninsula in the Chesapeake Bay region of Virginia. It is bounded on the north by the Potomac River and on the east by the Chesapeake Bay, making it a water-lover's paradise. Sandy beaches can be found along most of the county's 400-mile


shoreline and offers unlimited opportunities for boating, crabbing, salt-water fishing, sunbathing and swimming. The Tangier Island cruise leaves from Buzzard's Point Marina in Reedville. Tangier is a fishing village with no automobile access and famous for its old-world atmosphere and fabulous seafood.
